9:30am Workshop: Make yourself a targeted CV
No matter what job you’re applying for, or in which industry, you will need to stand out from the crowd in order to get that promotion, or dream role. Your CV is the first chance you get to make a good impression on a potential employer.
A top-quality CV will considerably boost your chance of success.
In this workshop you will learn how to sell your skills, match them to the job description, and get yourself noticed.
At the end of this session you will:
• Understand how to identify what employers are looking for
• Learn how to use language that will convince employers you have the skills they need
• Apply and learn how to develop targeted CVs and covering letters to get you noticed
“I learned a lot about CVs, I was recently unemployed and struggled with how to approach CV writing…I feel I will be in a better position in the future to sell my skills more effectively.” - Workshop Attendee, August 2018
