What isWorld's BiggestCoffee Morning?

Macmillan’s Coffee Morning is our biggest fundraising event to support people living with cancer

People all over the UK host their own Coffee Morning and donations raised on the day are made to Macmillan. The official date is Friday 24 September but it can be held at any time. From a group in the garden, sharing a coffee over a screen or a takeaway cake and cuppa, you can hold yours however you like.

In 2020, we raised over £10 million and hope to top that this year.

How you can get involved

Whatever your reason to host, no reason is too big or too small. All you have to do is sign up to host a Coffee Morning and we’ll send you a fundraising kit with top tips to get you started.

How did it all begin?

The first ever Coffee Morning happened way back in 1990. It was a rather small affair with a simple idea: guests would gather over coffee and donate the cost of their cuppa to Macmillan in the process. It was so effective, we did it again the next year – only this time nationally. Since then, Coffee Morning has raised over £290 million for Macmillan.

Get your Coffee Morning Kit

We’ll send you a fundraising kit once you’ve signed up to host a Coffee Morning. Choose from the complete classic kit with bunting, balloons and a tablecloth or our lighter kit with less paper and no plastic.

Each kit includes recipes, a collection box, event posters and a game for your event!

Why we do it

Having a Coffee Morning is the perfect chance to catch up over a cuppa and a slice of something delicious for a great cause.

One in two of us will face cancer, and the money you raise at your Coffee Morning will help everyone with cancer to live life as fully as they can.
